Our new partnership with the Schools Library Association

Introducing the SLA

The School Library Association (SLA) is a charity which supports everyone involved in school libraries. At its core, the SLA is committed to supporting and promoting high-quality reading, and learning and teaching opportunities for all. ClickView is now officially a partner of the SLA, supporting their training partnership programme.

Working together to share important resources with educators

ClickView encourages deeper understanding through video and thrives on supporting educators. As part of our partnership, we’re proud to be hosting the SLA’s webinars and online training on the ClickView platform. This supports the training to become more flexible and accessible for educators.

United by a swift response to the pandemic

Both the SLA and ClickView responded quickly to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. ClickView gave all schools free access to our best educational content, to support teachers, students and families. The SLA swiftly moved its popular Regional Training programme online.

ClickView are proud to be supporting the SLA through this time of need, as we have supported schools with free access to our most popular resources. Our colleagues in libraries and resource centres have been instrumental in helping teaching staff make a rapid shift to blended and online approaches, whilst furnishing them with the best possible quality of resources; leading to more continuity of learning at the highest possible standards. We are delighted to support schools and the training programme and to play our part to ensure this impact continues and evolves.

CEO of SLA Alison Tarrant said: “I’m delighted to enter into this agreement to ensure our current training provision and see what else develops as a result of the closer links between our two organisations. Many school library staff are responsible for the management of their ClickView system, and so this closer relationship makes perfect sense.”

Libraries a key conduit in blended learning

As schools look towards blended curriculum approaches, we recognise librarians can be a key conduit in the effective implementation. Librarians support resourcing across the curriculum, helping teaching staff to easily and quickly find the best resources - both on and offline. Throughout recent challenging times for schools, our colleagues in libraries and resource centres have been instrumental in helping staff adapt to blended and online approaches.

Partnering for a greater impact on learning

ClickView and the SLA both wish to arm schools with the best resources, for continuity of learning at the highest possible standards. We’re delighted to support the SLA’s training programme and to play our part in maintaining and evolving the impact on learning.
