A birthday party isn’t complete without cake, music and drama! This lesson will introduce the most common types of contact forces encountered in Physics. Definitions included: contact force, normal force, friction force, static friction, dynamic friction (kinetic friction), ground reaction force, rolling resistance, drag force, lift force, buoyancy force. Misconceptions included: the normal force always opposes the weight force, objects that sink do not experience a buoyancy force.
