Using Stairs
This safety training video snippet shows workers using the handrail when using stairs in order to reduce the risk of tripping. Good workplace practices protect people from a variety of possible injuries including injuries caused by tripping. Tripping on stairways is a common workplace injury. Gripping the handrail when walking up or down stairs, provides added support, stability and security. Three points of contact is a good practice on stairways – two feet on steps and one hand on rail at all times.
