This article explains the process of burning captured video to a DVD prior to it being added to the ClickView Library Server.

Step 1) Open the ClickView Library Manager. Click "Tools" from the top menu and choose "ClickView Digital Video Recorder".

Step 2) From the "Step 2: Edit Menu", right-click on a DVR recording (identified by the ".mpg" extension) and choose "Save Video As ..."

Step 3) Now choose a location so save the video to and click "Save".

Step 4) Once the video has been saved, you may close the ClickView Library Manager.

Note: The ClickView software does not provide DVD burning capabilities. Ulead DVD Movie Factory is used purely as an example in this knowledgebase article and support for this software, or any other 3rd party burning applications, cannot be provided by ClickView. Please confirm with your ICT department on what DVD creation software may already be available to you or what you may wish to purchase for this purpose.

Step 5) Choose "DVD" from the "Output Format" menu, followed by "Ok".

Step 6) Now click "Add video files" from the "Add media" menu.

Navigate to the location where you saved the captured MPEG-2 video, select the video you wish to burn to DVD and click "Open".

Note: You can select multiple videos to burn to DVD from the above menu by simply holding the "Control" key and choosing the videos you wish to add.

You can then choose the clip sequence of your DVD by simply dragging the entries up or down from the following window:

Step 7) It is recommended that you check the "Create Menu" option, as this will allow you to easily navigate through the videos on the DVD, which can be convenient if you are burning multiple videos onto the same DVD disc.

Step 8) Click "Next" to continue. You can now choose the menu style for your DVD from the "Menu Template" on the right-hand side. This screen also allows you to choose different names for your videos, amongst other customisations. When you are satisfied with your selections, click "Next".

Step 9) You can now preview your DVD before actually burning it. This allows you to make any changes to the DVD before finalising the process. Click "Next" once you are satisfied with your compilation.

Step 10) Now click "Options" to make changes to the burning process, ie - altering the burning speed. When you have made your selections click the 'Output' icon to begin the DVD burning process.

Note: Make sure to insert a blank DVD-R or DVD-RW disc prior to executing this step

The resulting unencrypted DVD can then be distributed amongst students and staff - or archived for back-up purposes.
