Introduction

Method 1 - Command Prompt

1. Click "Start", followed by "Run" and type "cmd" into the textbox.

   

2. Click the "Ok" button, this will evoke the "Command Prompt". Type in the following to finish the process (change "192.168.0.94" to the IP address of your particular ClickView Library Server).

   

Method 2 - Registry Editor

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them. Microsoft does not guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk.

1. Click "Start", followed by "Run" and type "regedit" into the textbox.

   

2. Clicking "Ok" will open the registry editor utility. From the directory navigation on the side of the screen, scroll to the location depicted in the image below.

   

3. Right-click the "ServerIP" entry and choose "Modify".

   

4. A small window will appear, type the IP address of the ClickView Library Server you wish the ClickView Player's to connect to in the "Value data:" textbox. Click "Ok" to complete this method.

   

Method 3 - Modifying Shortcut

1. Click "Start" > "Program Files" > "ClickView".

   Then right-click "ClickView Player" and choose "Properties".

   

2. The "ClickView Player Properties" window will appear. Click on the "Shortcut" tab and add the following text to the end of the "Target" string: -a 192.168.0.94. Remember to change "192.168.0.94" with the IP address of YOUR SCHOOL'S ClickView Library Server.

   

   Click "OK" to save the changes and finish the process.

   All of the above operations can be used to set the IP address of the ClickView Library Server onto a network of computers running the ClickView Player. Which method is employed should be based on personal preference.
