There will be situations where network administrators will wish to override the default 'My Documents' location for ClickView School Bag storage. This article explains how to choose the default 'My Documents' storage directory for all School Bags created through the ClickView Player.

This can be achieved by setting the 'DefaultSchoolBagLocation' registry value to the directory of your choice within the 'ClickView Player' registry key, on computers running the ClickView Player. This location can be set to any accessible location on the school network.

WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them. Microsoft does not guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk.

Instructions

  1. Click 'Start' then 'Run...'
  2.

  3. Type 'regedit' and press OK
  4.

  5. Locate and select the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ClickView\ClickView\ key
  6.

  7. On the right-hand side, create a new 'String Value' and name it 'DefaultSchoolBagLocation'. Change the value to the directory of your choice
  8.

  9. The ClickView Player will now use this location specified as its default location for saving SchoolBags.
  10.
