This article explains the steps required to correctly install the ClickView Library Server using the internal hard-drive provided by ClickView.

NOTE: If the ClickView Library Server has been previously installed onto this PC, please uninstall it prior to beginning this deployment process.

1) Connect the hard-drive to the motherboard via the Serial-ATA (SATA) or Parallel-ATA (IDE) connection.
When using Parallel-ATA (IDE) please make sure the jumper settings are configured correctly. ClickView recommends that the hard drive be installed via the Secondary Master interface. Reboot the PC.

Once Windows loads, open "My Computer". If you have correctly installed the internal hard-drive, a new drive should appear alongside the other local disks.

2) Double-click on the "ClickView" drive to view the contents of the newly installed drive. Now run the deployment batch file named "DeployClickViewLibraryServer.bat"

3) This will initiate a script which will commence the installation of the Microsoft .NET Framework. This installation is compulsory if you wish to run ClickView software on your system.

4) Once the .NET Framework 1.1 installation has completed, the ClickView Library Server installer will automatically commence. Carefully follow the steps of the installer and fill in any required fields. Do not change the installation path of the ClickView Library Server software, keep it as the default directory which is:
C:\Program Files\ClickView\ClickView Library\

5) Once the ClickView Library Server has been installed, you will be prompted to enter the name of your school and licence key in order to activate your product. Please contact ClickView if you have not yet received a ClickView Library Server licence key.

6) Once you have correctly entered your school name and licence key, a message will notify you of a successful product activation.

7) The final stages of the deployment process will associate the binary video data located on the new hard drive with the ClickView Library Server installation which was installed to C:\Program Files\ClickView\ClickView Library\

The ClickView Library Server is now operational and ready to be accessed by the ClickView Player.

For future reference:

Your ClickView Library Server database is located at:
C:\Program Files\ClickView\ClickView Library\CVDB.mdb

Your ClickView Library Server binary data is located at:
E:\ClickViewData\ (where E:\ is the drive letter associated with the internal hard disk containing your ClickView library data)
