Error -2000 occuring on ClickView Player after installing Video Library updates

After installing the ClickView Digital Video Library update(s), ClickView Player for Windows versions 1.6.1 & below are now displaying the following error message when opening:

The error has occurred due to additional metadata being made available and ClickView Player Clients 1.6.1 & below are unable to interpret this information correctly.


To fix this error please follow the below steps.

Note: The fix must be run on the ClickView Library Server or on a system with the ClickView Library Manager

Step 1: Downloading Fix

  • Term Update Metadata Fix - Download here
  • Step 2: Preparing to run the Term update Metadata fix

    Download the ClickView Library Utility zip file & upon completion of download please extract the 'ClickView Library Utility.exe' file to a new folder.

    Once extracted please run the 'ClickView Library Utility.exe' file

    The Term Update Metadata Fix utility will require the correct location of the ClickView Library Server Database.

    Once you have checked the location & made a backup of your database you are now ready to run the fix.

    Step 3: Running the Fix

    When you are ready please click the 'Start' button.

    The utility will now confirm whether you wish to proceed with the fix, select 'Yes' to continue or 'No' to cancel.

    Once the application has run successfully there will be a summary of how many database entries have been fixed.
