Version 1.7.4 - ClickView Player for Windows 7

New Features & Updates:

  • ClickView Player for Windows now supports the .NET 3.5 framework ( .NET 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 are all compatible )
  • Introduction of the new WIX installation packages replaces the InstallShield method
  • ClickView Player for Windows installation package now supports all current Windows platforms
  • Create PDF of ClickView Library contents has been updated and added additional creation options.
  • Improved performance of chapter downloads
  • ClickView SchoolBag performance update reducing the time taken to add files to a SchoolBag
  • ClickView Home links are now hidden if 'Staff Authentication' has not been entered
  • ClickView Wireless & ClickView Home links will now display the different links created by each if both products are enabled on the ClickView Library Server (requires ClickView Library Server 1.7.2.92 or above)
  • Publish to PowerPoint feature now supports 16:9 (widescreen) video exports
  • Discovery Library videos are now compatible with the 'Publish to PowerPoint' feature
  • Volume control now available when playing video in 'Publish to PowerPoint'
  • Updated 'Search' ability to include an 'Search for Videos with subtitles' option
  • If a sound card is not present or available a message will be displayed when opening the ClickView Player and also when trying to play a video

Bug Fixes:

  • Screensaver and sleep functionalities temporarily disabled when playing video
  • Updated closed-caption symbol with correct resolution
  • Installer will now remove all pre-existing ClickView Player entries and fix double entries in Add/Remove Programs
  • Fixed bug where search results were not displayed correctly
  • Fixed subtitle calculation algorithm and adjusted subtitle location when displaying a video
  • Fixed bug that ClickView Wireless URL option disappears
  • Fixed bug that PDF does not show description even when the description field is selected to export
  • Updated error message for when playing a WMV file without a compatible video codec
  • Fixed issue with progress bar not displaying when adding video to SchoolBag
  • ClickView Player will provided a brief error message to users when a sound device is not available

Known Issues:

  • Publish to PowerPoint does not currently support Divx 6.9 or higher. You will need to run either the XviD or Divx 6.0 - 6.8.5
