This article explains how to turn off the Microsoft Windows automatic update feature in Windows XP and Media Centre Edition. This can be useful if new updates or service packs have known issues with ClickView software or other components.

Step 1: Open System Properties

Go to Start, click Run, then type SYSDM.CPL, and then press ENTER.

Then click OK.

Note: You man not have enough permissions to change your Automatic Update settings. ClickView strongly recommends you ask your IT staff to change these settings for you.

Step 2: Turn Off Automatic Updates

Click the Automatic Updates tab, and then select Turn off Automatic Updates.
