The ClickView Library Server 1.6 Data Management Utility has been expanded to include more information about moving, restoring and the status of your ClickView Library Server data. Moving and verifying data is now more robust with more information on missing files. The utility can now also be used in conjunction with the ClickView Backup Utility to restore your data.
To access the ClickView Data Management Utility click on the 'Tools' from the top menu and then choose 'Data Management...'.
Verifying and Restoring Data
Click on the 'Verify Data' button to verify your ClickView Library Server binary data. The utility will scan the database and the binary data folders to detect if any files are missing. If there are any inconsistencies the verification process will display which files are missing. To view the missing files click on the 'display missing files' link. This will bring up a window with the missing filenames and their location.
The missing files can be restored automatically if they are available in your backup folder. These files will be marked with 'Backup Available'. To restore the missing files click on the 'Restore Available Files' button.
Altering the Storage Location of your ClickView Library Server Data
ClickView strongly recommends that you create a back-up of your ClickView Library Server database and binary data before attempting to move the ClickView Library Server data to a new location.
Click on the 'Relocate Data' button to select the new location of the ClickView Library Server binary data. The utility will verify the data and start the move. On the bottom of the window you will see the progress and once complete you will have the option to verify that all the files have been successfully copied.
Note: Restart the ClickView Library Server by clicking on Stop Library Server' and then 'Start Library Server' from the 'File' menu.
Important If you've pre-configured your ClickView Library Server for remote administration, you will need to re-share the new binary data folder with the appropriate permissions to allow ClickView Library Manager users to write data to this new directory.
