ClickView Player 1.6.0 for Windows can override the default ClickView Predictive File Transfer algorithm. Using the registry, you can instruct ClickView Player to begin downloading the next chapter file earlier or later than the default algorithm.
WARNING: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious, system-wide problems that may require you to reinstall Windows NT to correct them. Microsoft does not guarantee that any problems resulting from the use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use this tool at your own risk.
Step-by-Step Instructions
To override the Predictive File Transfer algorithm:
Open the registry by clicking on Start/Run and typing regedit.
Add a new String value by right clicking on the right panel of the registry editor and selecting New/String Value.
Type in CacheVideo and set it to a decimal number between 0.1 and 0.9. CacheVideo sets how long ClickView Player waits before downloading the next chapter.
Values between 0 and 1 set the percentage of the chapter to elapse before ClickView Player downloads the next video. (ie 0.4 = 40% of the playing chapter).
Setting CacheVideo close to 0 will instruct ClickView Player to start downloading the next video earlier. Setting the value close to 1 will instruct ClickView Player to download the next video near the end of the current chapter.
