Using ClickView Live

  1. How do the teachers and students access the ClickView Live streams in the classroom?
Via a web browser. Teachers and students simply type live into a web browser (i.e. http://live) and the 6 video streams are available. Users can select any of the six "now playing" streams using this browser-based video player.

  2. Do we need ClickView software to use ClickView Live?
No. ClickView Live is a completely stand alone device and does not require additional ClickView software to run.

  3. How do I change which video streams are available?
Via the ClickView Live Manager. School administrators access the password protected page at http://live/manager and can change the available streams, password protect streams and manage video playback properties all from this interface.

  4. Does ClickView Live have to reside in the server room?
No. You can put ClickView Live wherever you want, as long as it can connect to the school network and an aerial. For example you can keep it wherever you keep your DVD players and VCRs.

I don't want the young students to see the M rated movie I am showing to my year 12s. How do I achieve this?
By password protecting the stream. Only users who know that password will be able to watch and control this stream.
