The ClickView Access Manager is a security add-on to the ClickView software. It allows schools to take advantage of their existing LDAP user account management system to restrict access to the contents of their ClickView Library Server, based on user privileges.

The ClickView Access Manager is ideal for schools looking to run both the Primary and Secondary libraries from the same server.

The ClickView Access Manager allows schools to take advantage of their existing LDAP network user structure, by mapping these groups to their ClickView Access Manager groups.

This structure may be as simple as grouping users into teachers and students or as specific as year level and subject groups.

Using your ClickView Access Manager groups you can selectively hide the contents of your ClickView Library Server based on user privileges.

Any object on your ClickView Library Server can be hidden including subject folders, lessons, videos, audio files, images or learning objects. You can even restrict access to a specific chapter and have the ClickView Player seamlessly skip this segment of the video.

 
The ClickView Access Manager also allows schools to restrict access to videos based on their rating. For example you can allow access to '15 years and over' rated videos to Year 10, 11, 12 students and staff only.

Schools can attribute ratings to Freeview TV programmes they have captured.
 
Using the ClickView Access Manager schools can now safely run both their primary and secondary libraries from the same server. This means that schools will save on hardware and administration costs, as they will no longer have to purchase and maintain two ClickView Library Server PCs for the one campus.
